It seemed that many of our contractors were interested in finding out how to generate more leads by understanding the process of repairing and coating flat roofs.   Several 90 minute training sessions were held in 6 of our stores in a two day blitz.  From Grand Rapids to Petoskey the people came.

From roofing repairs to coating an entire roof, the Lucas training showed our customers how to become repair experts while instructing them on the how to’s of roof coatings.  Many questions were asked and answered including “How can Lucas Flashing Cement  be applied under water.”

If you could not attend, be sure to stop by your local Eikenhout store and ask them about how you can get a five year warranty on a self priming coating for any type of surface.  Or ask them which coating you should use if you are going to roll, brush or spray it on and for sure ask them about which coating actually allows you to tint the  color.

Another important product demonstrated was their 6500 Universal Flashing Cement.  It can be applied year round and isn’t afraid of a little water.  Using a 5 gallon bucket filled with water, the flashing went to work stopping the leaks.
