Why Prices Change
By looking at th
e price increase letters that manufacturers are sending out, it would be difficult to tell that building and remodeling has slowed down. Our contractors are experiencing the squeeze every time they compete for another remodeling job. Challenging times.
So it comes as no shock to say that we are not happy with the price increases being handed down to us by our suppliers. We delay them, absorb them but eventually have to pass them down to our customers. The current 5-7% increase is set to occur the first of May.
Recognizing that these price incr
eases are linked to explanations from our manufacturers, we have decided to publish some of their letters to help you see exactly what we see when prices are changed. (manufacturer’s letters)
If you are a part of our email club the password has been sent to you for you to read these letters. If you are not currently a part of that Monday morning email club where you will get the latest helpful information as well as some specials unique to belonging to the email club, contact your store or salesman to sign up and they will give you the password you need.
Our customers are creative and resilient. They will take this new round of increases and by offering better communication, better options and better craftsmanship change the satisfaction level of their home owners. Their exuberant and gratified customers will spread the word about a different kind of contractor, and we at Eikenhout are proud to be able to assist you.
